Welcome to Refusal Log. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Refusal Log mobile application operated by mcg.software (“us”, “we”, or “our”). By accessing or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Account Registration
- To use Refusal Log, you must sign in via a supported third-party provider (e.g., Google Sign-In).
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
2. Use of Service & Compliance
- Compliance Tool: Refusal Log is designed to help retailers record instances where age-restricted sales were refused.
- User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the app complies with local licensing laws, data protection regulations (like UK GDPR), and employment policies.
- No Legal Guarantee: While this app assists in record-keeping, mcg.software does not guarantee that the use of this app satisfies all legal requirements for your specific jurisdiction. The final decision to sell or refuse a product remains the responsibility of the user.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Input fraudulent or intentionally misleading data.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
- Use the app to harass or monitor individuals outside of legitimate business logging.
4. Data Ownership & License
- User Content: You retain ownership of the data you input into the app (logs, staff names, etc.).
- Service License: By using the app, you grant mcg.software a license to host, store, and display this data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
5. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business interests.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, mcg.software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, licensing fines, or business interruptions. The app is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms within the app. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
